Study tours and press tours constitute one of the most important spheres of activity of the Regional Tourist Organisation of the Łódź Voivodeship

The organisation of study tours for journalists and tour operators exhibits enormous potential and offers many possibilities at a relatively low costs compared to the achieved results.

Cooperation with the media is one of the most effective means of promotion. Without it we would be unable to reach a wider audience of individuals from both Poland and abroad. Our organisation cooperates with the media on multiple levels. We send ready-made press packs, which provide the basic information about the Łódź area and its attractions, along with print-ready photographs. We organise press conferences and press tours during the most important tourism-related events, which allow journalists to experience the main tourist attractions of Łódź and its region.

Thanks to substantial help from the Tourism Department of the City of Łódź and the Łódź Voivodeship, as well as local self-governments and members of the tourism industry, in the time between 2008 and 2012 we have been able to host a total of over 120 groups comprised of about 300 journalists from 23 countries, such as: Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, Japan, China, Austria, Denmark, Belgium, France, Holland, Poland, Canada, the US, Belarus, Sweden, Bulgaria, India, Turkey and The Czech Republic.

According to the directors of the Polish Centres of Tourist Information – our close partners in the organisation of study tours – the approximate advertising equivalent of the published materials amounts to EUR 2.400.000 or PLN 10.5 million.

However, our study tours are aimed not only at journalists, but also at tour operators, tour guides and couriers, representatives of travel agencies and airlines, as well as other incoming tourism operators. The most important study tour events organised by us in the years 2008-2012 include:
